Ali McEvoy joined the coaching ranks after graduating from Maryland in 2013 and has experience at all levels of the game. Most recently, she served as a varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach at Hershey High School during the 2020 and 2017 seasons. McEvoy helped lead Hershey to a state semifinal appearance, a first-place regular season finish in the division, back-to-back Mid-Penn Championships, and a 20-6 record in 2017.

At the collegiate level, McEvoy served as an assistant coach at Millersville University from 2018 to 2020, assisting the Marauders to two PSAC Tournament appearances. In the role, McEvoy contributed to all areas involving practice planning, video preparation, strength and conditioning, recruiting, and budget management.

Before Millersville, McEvoy spent five years as a coach and technical director for Nook Field Hockey Academy. She’s also instructed private lessons since 2013, identifying areas of improvement and facilitating high-intensity training sessions. She’s currently a USA Level 1 coach.

As a player, McEvoy has spent time with the United States National Outdoor and Indoor teams, competing in international tournaments, series, and games. McEvoy achieved 37 international games played for the outdoor team and had the opportunity to participate with the Rio 2016 squad. She was named a USA Indoor team captain in 2021.

McEvoy’s other international accolades include back-to-back gold medals at the Indoor Pan American Games in 2017 and 2021, 2017 Top Goal Scorer and Tournament MVP honors, and a 2008 silver medal.

While at Maryland, McEvoy helped lead the Terrapins to two NCAA National Championships and two ACC Championships. She was an NFHCA First Team All-American, an NFHCA All-Rookie Team member, and a 2013 womensfieldhockey.com First Team All-American. Additionally, she was named to the All-ACC Team as a sophomore and was the 2013 ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

Szalkowski is a former NCAA Division I scholarship athlete who brought an extensive club and high school coaching background to the mix. She primarily works with the midfielders and goalkeepers.

Prior to joining the staff at Susquehanna, the Dallas, Pa., native coached two seasons as an assistant at her high school alma mater, Dallas High School, where she was a Second Team All-State field hockey player back in 2011. Before that, Szalkowski was an assistant coach at Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre (2018-19) and the head junior high coach in the Wyoming Area School District (2016-17).

Szalkowski is currently a coach with the Majestyx Field Hockey Club in northeastern Pennsylvania, managing team and individual skill development for U12-U19. Additionally, Szalkowski was selected to coach at the Citi Field Hockey ProCamp in September of 2017.

She earned her Level 1 Instructional Clinic Certification from USA Field Hockey in February 2018.

Szalkowski was a three-year starter in center midfield for the Lafayette College field hockey program in Easton. The Leopards posted a .513 win percentage during her four years on the squad, winning the 2012 Patriot League Championship as a freshman and advancing to the first round of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship Tournament that same year.

She finished her Lafayette career with 14 assists, one goal, and one defensive save in 68 games played with 54 starts. Szalkowski was a two-year member of the USA Women’s National Indoor Field Hockey Team (2011-13), being selected as one of the youngest players in 2011 when she was a senior in high school.
