PWR!Moves® is an exercise class for those with Parkinson’s disease. It is designed around four basic elements of exercise, targeted to help counteract bradykinesia, rigidity, and incoordination. The foundational elements of PWR!Moves® are: PWR! UP antigravity extension, PWR! ROCK weight shifting, PWR! TWIST axial mobility, and PWR! STEP transitional movement training. Some of the Parkinson’s symptoms that exercise can positively affect include mood and self-confidence, bone health, sleep, digestion and constipation, fatigue, gait and balance, functional mobility.
All PWR!Moves® classes take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1-2pm.
