Description
The Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA is looking for a Food Service Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals to children and families in our programs. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and want to make a difference, we’d love to have you join our team!
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with meal prep and serving following safety and nutrition guidelines.
- Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized.
- Ensure food is properly stored and handled.
- Work closely with the Food Service Coordinator, Child Care Director, and Program Director to meet program needs.
- Help track food inventory and restock supplies.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Food service experience (preferred).
- ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Willingness to complete clearances and required child care trainings.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and perform kitchen-related tasks.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
