Renee Pfirman

Hi! I’m Renee Pfirman, a physical therapist with a specialized interest in working with people with Parkinson’s Disease. I grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York and graduated from Misericordia University with my doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. In October of 2023 my husband and I moved back to the Lewisburg region, where we are excited to plant some roots and raise our daughter near family. We have 3 dogs, and love music, traveling and exploring the outdoors.

My grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson’s when I was a child, so growing up I witnessed the challenges and obstacles that individuals and caretakers face. Studies have proven how beneficial a proper exercise routine can be in managing symptoms and slowing down disease progression. It has become my passion to help those battling the disease fight back. I have training in LSVT BIG, PWR! and am a Rock Steady Boxing coach. I have always had an interest in working with the neuro population in the clinic and am excited to be able to offer group classes as well as 1:1 personalized training here at the Lewisburg YMCA.
